Sirius XM Radio announced today that Sway Calloway, veteran music and entertainment news reporter, will host a live weekday morning show on Eminem’s music channel, Shade 45.

Sway in the Morning will launch on Monday, July 18 at 8:00 am ET on Shade 45, channel 45. Sway in the Morning will air Monday — Friday from 8:00 am — 12:00 pm ET.

Sway is a constant presence in hip-hop culture as a co-host of the legendary syndicated “World Famous Wake Up Show” with his partner DJ King Tech and as a staple correspondent on MTV. He will host his SiriusXM Radio show every weekday live from the SiriusXM studios in New York City. Sway will welcome special guests, including hip-hop artists, celebrities and newsmakers, for in-studio interviews, present song premieres, report on music news and more.

While hosting “The Wake Up Show” he is widely credited with giving Eminem, Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. their first major radio airplay to help contribute to their early successes. Sway is also known for his exclusive and wide-ranging interviews with some of the biggest names in entertainment including Bono, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Tom Cruise and Tyler Perry, as well as his interviews with President Barack Obama, Senator John McCain and others.

Shade 45 is SiriusXM’s uncensored, commercial-free hip-hop channel created by Eminem.

SIRIUS XM Radio announced today that it will broadcast two in-depth and uncensored interviews with Eminem on his Shade 45 channel in celebration of his channel’s fifth anniversary.

Eminem will sit down with Shade 45’s DJ Whoo Kid on Saturday, October 3 at 3:00 pm ET, during the G Unit Saturdays program, to go in-depth about his highly-anticipated upcoming album, Relapse 2, his performance at Voodoo Festival in New Orleans on October 30 and his role in developing the new video game DJ Hero, scheduled to be released on October 27.

Additionally, Eminem will speak with Shade 45’s DJ Tony Touch as part of the Toca Tuesdays show on Tuesday, October 6 at 9:00 pm ET.

In May 2009, when Relapse entered the Billboard chart at number one, Shade 45 presented an unprecedented special “Shade 45 Presents…Eminem: The Prelapse Special” featuring Eminem himself sitting down with Shade 45’s Reef for a three-hour interview. During the interview, Eminem took listeners on a guided tour through the making of the chart-topping album, offered commentary on his triumphant return to the music scene while overcoming tragedy, loss and confronting his own personal demons.
