
Sirius XM Radio announced today that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at Harlem’s world famous Apollo Theater for the first time at a special concert event, only for SiriusXM, to celebrate 10 years of satellite radio.
The concert will be held on Friday, March 9 at 8:00 pm ET, three days after the release of Springsteen’s new album Wrecking Ball. The concert will air live nationwide on Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Radio, channel 20.

Sirius XM Radio announced today that Duke University men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski — who became the all-time winningest coach in Division I men’s basketball history this month — will sit down for a Q&A session with an audience of SiriusXM listeners, Duke fans and other invited guests at storied Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, NC .
“SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Coach K,” a two-hour broadcast event, will air live nationwide on Mad Dog Radio, channel 86, on Wednesday, December 14 (7:00-9:00 pm ET). Sirius XM Radio announced today that its Pearl Jam Radio, the commercial-free music channel devoted to the music of Pearl Jam, will broadcast the band’s final show from the “Pearl Jam Twenty Tour” recorded live in Mexico City.
The concert will air on Friday, November 25 at 2:00 pm ET on Pearl Jam Radio, channel 22, and will include on-site interviews hosted by Pearl Jam Radio host The Rob.
Before the concert broadcast, at 12:00 pm ET, Pearl Jam Radio will air an in-depth conversation with director Cameron Crowe about his new documentary Pearl Jam Twenty, during which he will talk about the creation of the film’s soundtrack and his thoughts on the band’s influence and legacy.

Sirius XM Radio announced today that 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series ChampionTony Stewart will host the fifth annual ‘Stewie Awards’ show on Thursday, December 1, live from Las Vegas on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
The ‘Stewies,’ which features Stewart’s entertaining and irreverent take on the best, boldest and funniest moments from the 2011 NASCARseason, will be awarded during a live broadcast hosted by Stewart and Matt Yocum from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Thursday, December 1 (9:30 pm ET / 6:30 pm PT). The live broadcast will air nationwide on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90 on Sirius and XM Premier (formerly known as “The Best of Sirius”). Stewart won his third NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title after a remarkable postseason run that saw him win five of the 10 races in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Sirius XM Radio announced today that Foster the People will perform at New York City’s Bowery Electric for an exclusive, invitation-only concert for SiriusXM listeners.
The concert will be broadcast live on Friday, December 9 at 10:30 pm ET on Alt Nation, channel 36. Alt Nation was the earliest supporter of Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks,” which back in June of 2010, had its first airplay with the channel before the song was even released. Since then, the track has been certified double-platinum and Alt Nation has continued to support the band with additional airplay with their follow-up singles ”Helena Beat” and “Don’t Stop (Color On The Walls).”

Sirius XM Radio announced today that Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion of Coldplay will sit down for a rare Q&A session with a select group of SiriusXM listeners at the SiriusXM studios in New York City.

Sirius XM Radio announced today that the legendary club Studio 54 will reopen at its original location, for the first time in more than 25 years, for one night only on Tuesday, October 18.
Decades after the opening of one of the most celebrated discos in the world, SiriusXM reunites with members of the original team that worked behind the scenes at the club during its 1977-1981 heyday. They will re-create what will be billed as “One More Night” of the iconic ’70s nightlife glamour inside the famed Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street.
The hand-picked collaborators who choreographed Studio’s nightly parties will create the Studio 54 experience for one more night. The team includes: Karin Bacon, Studio 54 entertainment producer; Scott Bromley, Studio 54 architect; Marc Benecke, Studio 54 doorman; Myra Scheer, assistant to former Studio 54 co-owner Steve Rubell; Chuck Garelick, Studio 54’s former head of security; Scott Taylor, Studio 54’s former bartender and other insiders.
On hand to capture the club’s liberated atmosphere, original Studio 54 DJs Nicky Siano and Leroy Washington will play the iconic era’s dance classics. Celebrity guests, some from Steve Rubell’s master call list; and lucky SiriusXM listeners will be in attendance to flashback or dance for the first time in the internationally renowned club.

Sirius XM Radio, Learfield Sports and IMG College announced today a multi-year broadcasting agreement that will make live play-by-play broadcasts from 11 conferences available to SiriusXM listeners across the country.
Throughout the 2011-12 season and beyond SiriusXM will broadcast live college football and men’s basketball from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Big East, Pac 12 and Army, as well as men’s basketball from Xavier, Gonzaga and teams from several mid-major conferences.
