
Sirius XM Radio announced today that five-time Grammy-winning musician, actor, artist, activist and humanitarian Ziggy Marley will host a new monthly show, Ziggy Marley’s Legends of Reggae.
The monthly show will launch on Sunday, February 5, the eve of the birthday of his late father, Bob Marley, at 12:00 pm ET on The Joint, channel 42. This first episode features Ziggy speaking in depth with reggae legend Jimmy Cliff.
Ziggy Marley’s Legends of Reggae will feature Marley sharing his unique perspective on music and culture and introducing listeners to his favorite reggae music and sources of inspiration (with some rarities), plucked from his own personal collection. The show will also include music from the Marley family, including material from Ziggy’s most recent solo studio album, Wild and Free, and throwback selections dating back to his days as a Melody Maker. In addition to Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley’s Legends of Reggae will feature other special guests on the monthly show.

Ziggy Marley was born in 1968 in Trenchtown, Jamaica. Ziggy began his musical career playing with his father, reggae legend Bob Marley, and his siblings Sharon, Cedella and Stephen in 1979. The siblings became known as Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, and released over 11 albums, three of which were Grammy winners. Ziggy has released several solo albums since 2003, including: Dragonfly; his Grammy Award-winning Love Is My Religion; Family Time, which won him his fifth career Grammy, but his first in the children’s arena; and the Grammy-nominatedWild and Free. Always politically aware, Ziggy has also been involved with the United Nations, and has formed his own charity U.R.G.E as well as contributed in various ways to other charities such as Little Kids Rock, Amnesty International. In 2010, Ziggy and his brothers Rohan and Robbie traveled to South Africa to film the documentary Marley Africa Road Trip. Sirius XM Radio today announced the launch of The Badge with Howard Safir, a provocative, six-week series hosted by the former Police Commissioner of New York City on which he will offer his insight on the drama, heroism and challenges faced by law enforcement officials today. Sirius XM Radio announced today that former Indianapolis Colts Vice Chairman Bill Polian has joined SiriusXM NFL Radio, the only radio channel dedicated to the NFL 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Polian will make his debut on Monday, January 30, on Late Hits (8:00 — 11:00 pm ET). He’ll host the show again on Wednesday, February 1, andFriday, February 3, and will be heard regularly on the channel throughout the year. Polian built a reputation throughout his front office career as a superb talent evaluator and executive. He served as President and Vice Chairman of the Indianapolis Colts from 1997 through 2011, overseeing all football and administrative aspects of the club and guiding the franchise through an extraordinary period of success. Under Polian’s direction, the Colts selected quarterback Peyton Manning with the #1 pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Manning went on to become a four-time league MVP, leading a long list of players signed by Polian who went on to become stars includingDwight Freeney, Dallas Clark, Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and many others. During Polian’s tenure, the Colts went to the playoffs 11 times, won eight division titles and two AFC Championship games, and defeated the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.
Before joining the Colts, Polian was the first general manager of the expansion Carolina Panthers, leading the team’s front office from 1994 to 1997. Remarkably, the Panthers went to the NFC Championship game in only its second year of existence. Prior to his tenure in Carolina, Polian was the general manager of the Buffalo Bills for seven seasons. He was promoted to the position at the tail end of the 1985 campaign as the team was finishing up its second consecutive 2-14 season. The Bills would go on to make the playoffs in six consecutive seasons (1988-93) and win four consecutive AFC Conference Championships (1990-93).
In his 24 seasons as a general manager with Indianapolis, Carolina and Buffalo, Polian’s teams made 17 playoff, eight championship game and five Super Bowl appearances. He served as Vice President of Football Development for the NFL during the 1993 season. He helped formulate and implement the NFL’s current Collective Bargaining Agreement and he was a member of the league’s Competition Committee, Diversity Committee, Management Council Senior Executive Committee and was Chairman of the College Relations Committee. He is the first six-time winner of the Executive of the Year award from The Sporting News, an honor bestowed on him by his peers.

Sirius XM Radio announced today that Ringo Starr will sit down for a rare, exclusive Q&A session, hosted by Russell Brand and moderated by legendary producer Don Was, with a select group of SiriusXM subscribers at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, California.
“SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Ringo Starr” will air live on The Spectrum, channel 28, on Monday, January 30 at 4:00 pm ET, the day before the release of Starr’s new album, Ringo 2012. The special is part of SiriusXM’s “Town Hall” series, an intimate gathering with an iconic musician and a studio audience of SiriusXM listeners. Murphy’s revealing and compelling Iconography interview offers a deeply personal look into his Irish Catholic upbringing in Indiana, growing up gay in the early 1980s and how he handles success and disappointment. He also speaks candidly about the early days of Glee: “The executives at [Fox] all loved it, except one who wanted it to crash and burn,” Murphy reveals, adding that when the show reached the end of filming its initial network order of 13 episodes, “…the cast and crew were literally in tears. Sirius XM Radio announced today that, for the first time ever, Ian Schrager will share a behind the scenes look at the legendary club Studio 54, on Studio 54 Radio, channel 15.
The exclusive, revealing two-part interview special, “Schrager on Studio,” will feature the visionary Studio 54 co-founder and international hotelier sitting down with fashion icon Norma Kamali to share the inside story of the legendary and iconic nightclub.

SiriusXM launched Studio 54 Radio, a 24/7 commercial-free channel devoted to the best classic dance and disco, as a tribute to the music often played in the legendary club created by Rubell and Schrager. Sirius XM Radio announced that legendary entertainer Regis Philbin will return as the special guest host of “Bing Crosby Christmas Radio,” a limited-run holiday channel devoted to classic Bing Crosby radio broadcasts from 1944 -1962 from Crosby’s personal vault, brimming with comedy skits and musical performances from celebrity guests, and also featuring a rare recording of Crosby reciting the iconic poem “The Night Before Christmas.”
“Bing Crosby Christmas Radio” will air from December 19 through December 26 at 3:00 am ET on SiriusXM channel 146, online on SiriusXM Internet Radio channel 814 and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App on smartphones and mobile devices on Limited Engagements 4.

Sirius XM Radio announced today that it will broadcast SNL on STERN, a five-part original series hosted by Howard Stern that offers an uncensored, backstage history of Saturday Night Live as told by the show’s cast, guest hosts and writers from three decades of memorable appearances on The Howard Stern Show.
SNL on STERN premieres on December 19 and airs through December 23 beginning at 6:00 am ET daily on Howard 100 and 6:00 am PT on Howard 101. SNL on STERN will air in five original installments, with encore performances all day and throughout the weekend on Howard 100.
A lifelong fan, Howard’s entertaining and in-depth interviews with the cast, writers and guest hosts of Saturday Night Live have provided some of the most entertaining radio in the show’s history since his first with Gilda Radner in 1983.
